Plus, I do a lot of different workout styles, and I’m not afraid to try routines packed full of complex choreography. My typical workout routine consists of intense cardio and strength training so my ego told me that there couldn’t possibly be any dance workout that could push my limits. I thought these workouts would be on the easy side (for me). You’ll never do any traditional sit-ups or crunches but you’ll feel every workout sculpting your mid-section. The Figure 8 routines stay true to their promise as dynamic core workouts. The Figure 8 workout style is dynamic core cardio training through dance.

But the majority of the routines in the workout library are from the Figure 8 category. *There’s a second category of workouts called JNL Fusion, with circuit intervals using more traditional exercises, too. The Figure 8 workouts are the best thing about Body FX. There’s some choreography you’ll have to learn but do NOT let this stop you from trying this program. Most of the workouts are based on the Figure 8 method, a workout style created by the instructor, Jaana Kunitz, on Latin dance competition moves*. I’m going to go deeper into the workouts in the next few sections but I want to point out right away that the Body FX workouts won’t be for everyone (but everyone should try them).

Body FX is a complete home workout program that includes a library of streaming workouts and workout calendars, ‘e-coaching’ (delivered to you via emails), membership to a private Facebook community with other Body FX members and detailed nutritional guides with meal plans.
